Canadian Physical Activity and Sedentary Behaviour Guidelines Handbook
Being physically active every day is enjoyable and safe for most people. Health benefits of physical activity include improved fitness, strength and feeling better. This booklet shows how you and your family can plan to be physically active every day using the Canadian Physical Activity Guidelines. Don't forget to reduce sedendary time too!
The 32-page booklet includes all eight of the Canadian Physical Activity and Sedentary Behaviour Guidelines, plus sample log books with plenty of examples of ways you can incorporate physical activity into your schedule. Use the blank logs at the back of the handbook to track your own progress!

Currently three provinces distribute free copies of the Canadian Physical Activity Guidelines and Canadian Sedentary Behaviour Guidelines to residents.
Residents of Ontario can order free printed copies of the Guidelines from Service Ontario. Click the "Be Active!" link and navigate to page two of the Service Ontario Publications Page to place your order. (See screenshot at right)

New 2013!Residents of British Columbia can order free printed copies of the Guidelines from the CSEP store, as part of a partnership between ParticipACTION and Healthy Families BC.
