MARCH 27, 2012 - Children four and under should move more, sit less and avoid screens

Canada’s first-ever Canadian Physical Activity Guideines for the Early Years (aged 0-4 years) and first-ever stand-alone Canadian Sedentary Behaviour Guidelines for the Early Years (aged 0-4 years) were released by the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology and ParticipACTION, with support from with support from the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario Research Institute, Healthy Active Living and Obesity Research Group (CHEO-HALO).

MARCH 17, 2011 -- Physical Activity Guidelines for Adults with Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) were released today by McMaster University, in partnership with SCI Action Canada and the Rick Hansen Institute. Website: www.sciactioncanada.ca/guidelines

FEBRUARY 15, 2011 - The Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology has released the first systematic, evidence-based Canadian Sedentary Behaviour Guidelines for Children and Youth.

JANUARY 24, 2011 - The Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology released new Canadian Physical Activity Guidelines.
